Jorge Lorenzo's unrelenting march towards his second consecutive 250cc World Championship took another step forward with victory in Sunday's Czech Republic Grand Prix.Lorenzo led the race from start to finish, although closest title rival Andrea Dovizioso was at least in touch for all but the closing stages, when the #1 Fortuna Aprilia rode into the distance.
Lorenzo eventually clinched his seventh win of the season by 7.708secs over the Honda mounted Italian, while Mika Kallio took third place for KTM after a collision with Alex de Angelis three laps from the finish left the San Marinese in the gravel. Lorenzo now holds a 30 point lead over Dovizioso in the world championship standings.

Hector Faubel overturned Aspar Aprilia team-mate Gabor Talmacsi's pole position, and world championship lead, with victory in the 125cc Czech Republic Grand Prix. Talmacsi and Mattia Pasini took an early lead in the 19 lap race, but were caught during the second half by Sergio Gadea, Lukas Pesek and Faubel.With three laps to go Gadea fell from second position, allowing Pasini to pull a slight advantage, but that was erased by a later mistake and Faubel pounced for the lead soon after. Talmacsi demoted Pasini a further position, then led the race with half a lap to go, but subsequently lost out to all three of his rivals to cross the line a disappointed fourth.
Faubel beat Pasini by just 0.070secs at the flag with home hero Pesek taking a well deserved third after a poor start left him tenth on the opening lap. Faubel's victory means he now leads Talmacsi by 10 points in the world championship standings.
